For over 175 years Fort Snelling has been a pioneering place in bringing diverse cultures together. From
Dakota and Ojibwe tribes meeting with new settlers to soldiers meeting for polo on The Fort's old Polo
Grounds, Fort Snelling has a long history of establishing a sense of community.
Over the years Fort Snelling has been home to everything from soldier barracks to soccer fields, and
whether it's hosting early settlers discovering new lands or today's young skaters discovering new
abilities, Fort Snelling always has and always will stand as a landmark location for trailblazers.

The Fort
will be a world-class venue for action sports. Together with America's premier skate park builders, sports
facility architects, and the help of local kids, we're designing a venue that will be the envy of action
sports enthusiasts across the country.
Although still these are conceptual images, the park will include
modular ramps inside and outside, an indoor bowl, and an outdoor
concrete park among other features.
