We are committed to creating an environment where action
sports will flourish and the entire community will benefit. At
The Fort we will:
 |
Support and promote action sports & youth athletics. |
 |
Empower social cohesion and individual respect. |
 |
Provide a venue for the evolvement of community centric activities. |
 |
Create value for all parties involved. |

Action sports, once considered
the misfit hobbies of risk-taking rebels and outcasts, are now the fastest growing sports in the country.
Incorporating freedom of expression, authenticity and extreme athleticism,
action sports include a wide range of individual
athletics-skateboarding, inline skating, rock climbing, paddle sports, freestyle BMX and mountain
biking, to name just a few. These sports are gaining on and, in some cases, eclipsing traditional team sports
in participation by our youth.
Action sports are as much a part of today's cultural mainstream as
traditional team sports were to previous generations:

The challenge before us
is to support this growing trend and create an environment that will positively effect our entire community. The
Fort will achieve this through:
 |
Providing high-quality, relevant athletic facilities to young people. |
 |
Providing a safe and supervised venue that keeps kids off the streets and out of trouble. |
 |
Providing programming for kids and adults to learn and pursue freestyle athletic activities. |
 |
Providing a mechanism for organizations and businesses to support and connect with the community. |
